Some were less thrilled than others with a certain announcement from Apple yesterday. Fortunately that someone can get at least $100 back to spend on more overpriced Apple gear according to Jobs’ blog. Although I do have this slight level of contempt for the company, I am still a slave to their iPod devices. Since my old 3gen died several months ago I’ve been waiting to buy something new…then Apple goes and does something like this…

The iPod Touch is quite sexy but only comes in 8GB and 16GB flash memory models whereas the iPod Classic now comes in delicious 80GB and 160GB models. I’m a guy who likes to carry all my music on me…I’m also a guy who wants a nice big screen to watch videos on (and maybe browse the web on some WiFi). I am torn…and devastated. Maybe I’ll just wait for the Zune 2.0.
