You want to talk about pandemonium? Well welcome to Word of Faith Family Church. I’ve been meaning to jump on this I & P bandwagon becuase i’ve learned some neat tricks from others and I know we’re all about jerry rigging ’round here. So for my first entry I would like to would like to explain how we show a video in our sanctuary.

Our set up is very basic here. We have one PC running Sunday Plus (and yes, it is horrible) connected via long VGA cable to our projector. No video mixer, no second video source. So how do we show a video. Well, there is no smooth way with Sunday Plus because although it does technically have video capability, it’s about as reliable as a Fiat.

So the best we can do is VLC media player. Using the nVidia drivers, it clones the video over to the second screen. No, it’s not pretty, but it works about 95% of the time (still an unacceptable number). So when I press play on this video in about 5 minutes I will be praying it works…
