I love sharing great software finds, something which I haven’t done in a while. This little gem i stumbled upon allows you to sync your files across the internet. No, this isn’t another online storage service. Folder Share allows you to sync a folder between two or more computers meaning that any change made one place will be uploaded to all the other locations as well and there’s no storage limit except what your hard drive can hold. This is perfect for anyone needing to share files with the office while you’re on the road.

The software is made by Microsoft yet is surprisingly available for the Mac platform as well. And as yet another bonus you can also access your files from any computer without the software installed through the web interface…from anywhere in the world of course. So try it out and let me know what you think.

I am now what the cool kids call a 1337 h4x0r, and if you don’t know what that means then you can just stop reading right now…or look it up. The reason is that I have recently hacked my original Xbox to become an amazing media center by installing the infamous Xbox Media Center (XBMC). This allows me to stream content across my local network to the TV hassel free with mostly stuff I already had while not disabling it’s game console abilities. I highly reccommend it as it’s not too hard (unless you can’t locate an Action Replay device like I couldn’t).

There’s an excellent tutorial on ProductWiki that guided me through the dark scary path of soft modding.

So to save money and for the purpose of convenience I have Blockbuster Online. A lot of people called me a sellout for going with the big corporation rather than the start-up and originator of mailed movies Netflix. I gotta say I’m not disappointed with my choice though becasue now I get to take my mailed movies and get rentals from the store whenever I happen to be near a Blockbuster store. Anyway, with all these movies it has become hard to find movies I like since the movie suggestions I get from friends and Blockbuster usually suck.

Enter WhatToRent.com. An amazing tool that asks a few questions about your personality and instantly nails you on what movies you like. All the movies it has suggested to me that I’ve seen were movies I loved and the rest are movies I’ve wanted to see. So all in all it is an excellent and very accurate tool if anyone else out there is running out of (good) movies to watch.

So in my new blog with a pretty much finished template now I have added some amazing technology to make you poo in your own pants. So here we go:

In page audio flash player:
No more will you have to download those annoying mp3 files. No, from now on hearmeout.us will have an on page audio flash player courtesy of the kind folks at 1pixelout.net. Example of my Over Dramatic Day below.
Download audio file (ODfeb16.mp3)

Fancy expandable JPGs:
A nice little JavaScript app called Highslide gives me the advanced ability to put a picture in a post and allow you to expand it without leaving my page! You can click them to enlarge them and even move them around the screen. Can you piece this panorama back together?

	     				    	Close

</highslide>

	     				    	Close

	     				    	Close

</highslide></highslide>

So that’s what I got and that’s how you use it. Hope you all like the nice little touches.
